skid is short for script kiddie. And onion is a play on words, it means union. To summarize, skidonion means union of script kiddies.
The name skidonion is a self-deprecating reference to the fact that the team members are not rich enough in technology stack and have not mastered some knowledge, and it also implies that the team has the grassroots spirit of breaking the framework of technological authority. Of course, a single individual being called a script kiddie may seem weak, but forming an alliance creates a qualitative change. The name implies that individual skills may be ordinary, but through the collective wisdom of code sharing, collaboration and co-creation, it can produce unimaginable power.
